For years, I sought answers to why I operated the way I did - why certain paths felt natural while others felt misaligned, why recognition and invitation was essential for me to thrive, and why my interactions with people carried so much weight. It wasn’t until I discovered Human Design that everything clicked into place.
I am a Projector, a guide by nature, someone here to see the bigger picture and help others refine their energy and direction. With Splenic Authority, my decision-making process is deeply instinctual - instant knowing in the moment, with no need to revisit or overthink.
And as a 2/5 Profile, I live within the paradox of being both a natural hermit and a problem solver for others. My journey of self-discovery through Human Design has been both validating and transformative. And no, it hasn't always been easy. But what have I learnt and how has it helped me?

The Power of Being a Projector
As a Projector, my energy is different from most. Unlike Generators or Manifesting Generators who are designed to work consistently, I thrive when I honour my unique rhythm. My strength lies in seeing and guiding others, not in forcing myself into an overworking, energy-depleting lifestyle. Yet this is how I set up my life - how I was conditioned to work: full-time in financial services for 20 years. It was not aligned with my energy profile or how I work best.
Projectors are not here to hustle - we’re here to be recognised, invited, and valued for our insights. When I pushed myself beyond what my energy allowed (in multiple professional roles), I experienced burnout, frustration, and an overwhelming sense of being misunderstood.
Does this resonate with you? Do you find yourself exhausted by societal expectations of constant productivity? Perhaps you, too, are designed to work differently.
The Intuitive Strength of Splenic Authority
One of the most profound things I’ve learned about myself is the power of trusting my spleen / my intuition. Splenic Authority is about instinctive, real-time decision-making. There’s no need to deliberate or analyse - I just know. When I override this instinct or allow external voices to sway me, I often regret it. But when I trust it, I make the right decision.
I knew the moment my life changed forever. It didn't make any logical sense, and it was going to upend my life with no guarantee of a 'better' life - but it was an inner knowing that I just couldn't ignore. And on reflection, I've always made the right decisions when I have trusted my intuition - as tumultuous as the outcomes may have been (and may continue to be).
Have you ever felt a deep inner knowing about something, only to second-guess yourself and later realise your first instinct was right? You may have Splenic authority as well...11% of the population do.
The Complex Nature of a 2/5 Profile
My 2/5 Profile is both a gift and a challenge. The 2nd line, known as the Hermit, thrives in solitude. I need time alone to recharge, process, and align with myself. It’s in these moments of retreat that my natural talents and insights emerge . This line is known for having an innate genius - an unconscious brilliance that doesn’t require formal learning but rather emerges organically. The challenge? Others often see this insight before I do, calling me out before I even realise what I have to offer.
The 5th line is a Projection Field (as is the 2nd line), meaning people see in me what they need - solutions, guidance, and sometimes even qualities that I may not fully embody. The 5th line is seen as a problem solver, a leader, and a rescuer. This can be both empowering and exhausting. While I love being of service, I have also had to learn that I cannot be everything to everyone. When people project unrealistic expectations onto me and I don’t meet them, I can become the villain in their story. Recognising this, and then managing this balance has been one of my greatest life lessons.
Living in this projection field has made it challenging to be in the public eye. I’ve experienced admiration, respect, and trust - but also scrutiny, misinterpretation and disappointment when people expect me to be something I am not .... or make assumptions of me before actually learning (or reading) my story. Learning to hold my ground, set boundaries, and stay true to my own path has been the key - but no, it hasn't been easy. We all want to feel liked, respected and understood - It's a deeply human need. This Profile makes it very challenging. Only 2% of the global population 'enjoy' the 2/5 Profile.
Do you feel a push and pull between solitude and leadership? Do you find that people project expectations onto you? Understanding your profile might reveal why.
My Life Purpose: Explanation (43/23 & 4/49)
One of the most illuminating aspects of my Human Design is my Incarnation Cross - the overarching theme of my life’s purpose. Mine is the Cross of Explanation (43/23 & 4/49), which means I am here to share deep insights and revolutionary perspectives in a way that makes complex ideas accessible to others. Cue: launching a long/short futures traded strategy into the Australian financial services market; or illustrating the different soul contracts and agreements we come into in this lifetime and what they mean for our soul growth.
The 43/23 channel represents a breakthrough in understanding - a deep inner knowing that must be communicated clearly for others to grasp its power. My mind works in ways that bring fresh, sometimes radical insights, and when the right people recognise this, my words can create transformation. However, timing is key; if I try to force my insights onto those who aren’t ready, I risk being misunderstood or dismissed or ridiculed. Cue - book launch of my story.
The 4/49 aspect of my cross relates to principles and agreements, particularly in relationships and societal structures. I am naturally inclined to stand by my values and advocate for change when needed. This part of my purpose calls me to be discerning about the people and environments I engage with - aligning with those who share my integrity and vision.
Understanding this has been liberating. It has allowed me to see why I’ve often felt ahead of my time, why some people deeply resonate with my message while others resist it (and outwardly criticise it), and why clarity in my communication is essential to fulfilling my purpose.
Have you ever felt like you see things differently from those around you? Do you find yourself holding insights that others don’t always understand right away? Perhaps your Incarnation Cross holds the key to understanding your deeper purpose.
How Human Design helped me
Human Design has given me the permission to be myself fully. To stop trying to fit into a mould that was never designed for me. To trust my instincts without explanation. To work in alignment with my energy instead of against it. To understand the dynamics of my relationships and how others experience me.
More than anything, it has provided me with clarity - about my purpose, my gifts, my challenges, and how I best operate in the world. And this clarity has allowed me to move through life with greater ease and confidence.
